The Astrochemical Trail of our Origin

Si comunica a tutti gli interessati che martedì 16 maggio alle ore 16,00 presso l'Aula B del Dipartimento di Chimica Biologia e Biotecnologie la Dr. Cecilia Ceccarelli dell'Institut de Planétologie e d’Astrophysique de Grenoble (Francia) presenterà un seminario dal titolo THE ASTROCHEMICAL TRAIL OF OUR ORIGIN.

La Dr. Cecilia Ceccarelli collabora da tempo con la Prof.ssa N. Balucani del Dipartimento di Chimica Biologia e Biotecnologie su progetti di ricerca interdisciplinari nell'ambito dell'astrochimica. Ha ricevuto un ERC Advanced Grant 2016 con un progetto dal titolo "The Dawn of Organic Chemistry" nel settore PE9.
Segue abstract del seminario.The Solar System and Earth are the products of a long and complex process, which left several traces in the chemical composition of meteoritic and cometary material as well as of the Earth. For example, the water that we drink every day and so crucial for life was formed when the Solar System was nothing more than a diffuse cloud of material.In this presentation, I will give an overview of how the Solar System and Earth formed, following the astrochemical trail that leads back to the very first steps.
