- This Professional Training Course aims to provide the student with advanced knowledge of the diagnostic approach to the parasitosis of the dog, cat and horse.
- Prerequisites
- He obtained the signing of a degree in "Parasitology and Domestic Parasitic Diseases".
- Teaching methods
- The practical activity of the CIP will be carried out at the Didactic Laboratory of the EXP Section of Parasitology for the acquisition of classical and innovative methods for the recognition of parasitic elements for a correct diagnosis of the major parasitic diseases of the dog, cat and horse.

- Learning will be verified during practical exercises.

- Diagnostic approach to the main protozoan infections (Isosporosis, Giardiosis, Tritrichomoniosis, Neosporosis and Toxoplasmosis)(2h) and helminthes infections (ascaridiosis, ancylostomiasis, trichuriasis) in the dog and cat (2h).
Diagnostic techniques of cardiopulmonary parasite in the dog and cat (4h).
Diagnostic approach to the main protozoan infections (piroplasmosis) (2h) and helminthes infections (ascaridiosis, strongylosis, anoplocephalosis, oxyuriasis) in the horse (2h).
