Evaluation of specific subject knowledge on entry
Per tutti i corsi di laurea di primo livello e magistrale a ciclo unico inserire: Verification of the knowledge required for the attendance of the course of study through a compulsory evaluation test of indicative and non-selective nature; if the test is not passed, the student will be given additional educational obligations and will be granted with: • alignment courses, • tutoring, • study of additional texts indicated by the course of study. Profile of the programme
The course of study provides theoretical and methodological knowledge in the sociological field for the investigation and for the understanding of social models, with particular reference to the sectors of methodology of social research, sociology, geopolitics and the juridical-political area. The course of study offers cultural preparation and theoretical-practical training that allows to manage and coordinate actions for the protection and security of public and private interests. Interdisciplinary training allows an integrated approach to problems related to the analysis of different contexts. The course provides the methodological knowledge to solve security-related problems, operating in different application sectors.
Programme learning outcomes
The graduate in Investigation and Security Sciences aims to be an expert in investigative systems and citizen security. Graduates of the Programme will be able to demonstrate: - ability for the coordination of management of risk - knowledge of methodology of social research, sociology, criminology, law, psychology - understanding of main social changes related to risk and uncertainty - basic knowledge in sociology, methodology, law, psychology - ability to analyse society and its changes Graduates can effectively understand social changes and carry out the coordination of risk management.
Qualification requirements and regulations
Admission to the final test for the achievement of the qualification will require that the student has acquired all the credits foreseen in the study plan for training activities other than the final test. The final test for the achievement of the qualification is public and consists of the presentation of a thesis work to a special commission. The thesis is an essay written on methodological or theoretical topics. the candidate chooses a theme and explores it, in a methodologically rigorous way, with reference to the state of the art.
Examination regulations and grading scale
Assessment is normally an oral or written exam; in some cases there are intermediate exams during the course; other evaluation elements (seminars, reports, etc.) can be foreseen in specific course units and are described in the Course Unit Profiles.

the mobility windows can be used flexibly according to the needs of the individual student. there are possibilities of international mobility (erasmus) at prestigious european universities. thanks to international mobility, students can develop their linguistic and cultural knowledge and skills

The work-based learning is a period of training in a company or in an institution that allow to create moments of alternation between study and work in the context of training processes, offering to students a direct experience of the world of work. It is very useful and represents an important moment of human and cultural growth.
Occupational profiles of graduates
Given the methodological skills acquired, graduate can be employed in both national and foreign contexts, related to security and risk management. Graduates will be able to be employed: in the organization of events; in the safety of industrial sites; in airports; in ports and strategic centers of communication routes.
